Generations Of 3 Italian Sisters

Ciao a tutti!

Hello Everyone and Welcome to 3 Italian Sisters!

We are delighted to share our love of Italian food. We hope to ignite passion inside of you, to teach you how to create simple yet elegant Italian dishes right at home!

This whole process has been such an exciting endeavor! It has opened our hearts to what we truly love, creating beautiful food and sharing our creations with others. There is nothing quite like watching someone enjoy the food you make.Despite how much it annoys my husband, I find myself staring at him in anticipation for approval after his first bite! Although not every dish is husband nor child approved, I still find immense satisfaction in cooking, especially recreating dishes from my childhood.

My Mother & founder of 3 Italian Sisters, Kathleen Barbato, is awe inspiring in the kitchen, a true and natural gourmet cook! Cooking brings her utter peace and she is happiest while sharing this passion with others! This inspired her to follow her heart and start 3 Italian Sisters ~ HomeStyle Cooking Classes a couple years ago. (See the cooking class tab above for more info as spots are limited!)

She is the middle of 3 sisters, Francine (the eldest) & Joann (the youngest) all who are are amazing cooks as well!  My grandparents, Salvatore & Nancy Bellia started a family business early on… so as part of an Italian-American family, my mother and her sister were expected to have dinner on the table for their parents and two brothers!   This is where their love of cooking began…My grandmother who learned from her mother-in-law,  taught her girls and my mother taught us, passing their beautiful traditions down the line. Traditions all based around a meal and a moment in time that brings everyone together…. what could be more sincere than that?

To be part of a generation of Italian sisters is a beautiful thing. There is a warmth of nostalgia to pass down and carry on traditions and there is significant joy in creating new ones. We have always felt such a connection to our traditions. They remind us of who we are, how special it is to share the bond of sisterhood and the importance of embracing our Italian heritage.

My name is Christina Carbone. I am a busy wife & Mama of two beautiful little girls & Stepmom of two lovely twin boys, also the middle of two beautiful sisters, Michelle Riley & Nancy Barbato, and daughter of passionate Italian-American parents!

Although at the moment we all reside in different states, the bond we share is strong and centered around our love of food.  Before each visit together, we talk about “what will be on the menu” Our best memories is the time we share cooking, laughing and sharing beautiful food together. It is the most treasured time for each of us.

This blog is not only to help you embrace these moments through cooking but also a way to bring us together in a common love of food! So please join us as we passionately explore the soul of Italian cuisine!
